Data Heartbeat Splunk

Splunk App Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 11, 2026

Summary: Data Heartbeat is a self-contained Splunk app that monitors your source types for data gaps, entirely within your Splunk environment. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data.
We Do Not Sell Your Data: DataDay Technology Solutions does not sell, rent, lease, or otherwise monetize any user data, personal information, or telemetry from this product. We never have and never will sell your data to third parties.

How Data Heartbeat Works

Data Heartbeat watches ingestion metadata so you know the second a source type goes silent:

  • Self-Contained: Gap detection runs as scheduled searches inside your Splunk instance
  • Your Alerts: Notifications go through your own Splunk alert actions
  • No External Connections: The app makes no calls to external servers or APIs
  • No Telemetry: We do not collect usage statistics, analytics, or any telemetry

Data Storage

All data processed by Data Heartbeat stays within your Splunk deployment:

  • Ingestion Metadata: Read from your internal indexes at search time
  • Thresholds & Configuration: Stored in Splunk app configuration files on your server

DataDay Technology Solutions has no access to any of this data.

What We Don't Do
